Aronoff Center for the Arts - Fifth Third Bank Theater
Biography & Highlights
Seventh and Main gets loud when the traffic hits that light just as an evening show lets out. You'll walk past the main glass doors and head down into the Fifth Third Bank Theater space, where it doesn't feel like a typical stuffy downtown hall once you're inside. The box office line moves fast, and security checks your bag without making a whole production out of it.
It's an intimate black box setup where there isn't a bad sightline anywhere near the stage. You won't find traditional plush opera seats here; instead, it's flexible risers and tight rows that put you right on top of the performers. Sound bounces hard off the concrete floors, so you'll want earplugs if you're standing up front near the PA monitors. There's plenty of energy in this compact room when a packed crowd settles in.
When the final song wraps up, everyone floods back out onto Seventh Street toward the busy downtown bars. It's a quick shuffle past the brick walls and the flickering exit signs, leaving you standing right there on the curb staring at that wet streetlight on the corner.
